Our high school program is designed to give students the opportunity to take challenging classes, build independence, and be part of a supportive community of peers and teachers.
High school meets during both the Fall and Spring semesters, with each semester running for 14 weeks. All students begin their co-op morning together at 9:15 AM, with individual classes beginning at 9:30 AM.
One of the benefits of our high school program is the flexibility it offers. Students and parents can choose the courses that best fit the student’s academic goals, interests, and needs. If a particular class isn’t the right fit for a student, there is also the option to use that hour as study hall which gives students dedicated time to work independently, complete assignments, or get ahead in their school work.
Our classes are academically rigorous, and students should expect to complete homework and assignments outside of co-op. At the same time, we want students to feel supported as they take on greater responsibility for their education. Teachers use Google Classroom to communicate with students, post assignments and resources, and remain available throughout the week for questions and support.
High school at co-op is about more than academics, too. Throughout the school year, students are invited to participate in non-academic events and activities, creating opportunities to spend time together, build friendships, and enjoy the community that makes our co-op special.
